Core practices are the way we make God’s love and our love concrete. Core practices are also covenantal practices in some traditions. Our core practices are: generosity, hospitality, forgiveness, and risk taking.
An extravagant giving of oneself (one’s time, resources, and talent) to the LORD and to others (spouse, family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc).
Opening up our hearts, homes, and hearths (kitchens) to others, with a special focus on strangers and aliens (people who are different or who are in need).
Unity is not kept because we always act perfectly toward one another, but because we forgive others as Christ has forgiven us. Our understanding and practice of Biblical forgiveness is best described by Ken Sande in his book, "Peacemakers."
An expression of love and faith that is being stretched and challenged. In these challenges we are forced to rely on God and others, to be about God’s priorities, and take actions that demonstrate love and selflessness toward others.
